Rodney Sanders snags three-win weekend
On Saturday afternoon Rodney Sanders visited Lawton Speedway (Lawton, Okla.) to compete in a field of 32 URSA American Racing Modified Series (ARMS) entries. Improving three spots in his heat race, Sanders streaked to an eight-lap victory, which positioned him fourth on the starting grid for the feature. Outrunning polesitter Kevin Rowland, Rodney raced to his 12th win of the season over Rowland, Triston Dycus, Sean Gaddis, and Colton Horner. He pocketed $2,500. (Mike Howard photo)
The following night at The Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway (Justin, Texas) for a rescheduled rainout with the Texas Monday Series, Rodney secured his spot into the A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Charging from the sixth-starting position, Sanders cruised his second win of the weekend and second straight with the inaugural series. He took the checkers ahead of Bo Day, Jake Gallardo, Triston Dycus, and Steve Whiteaker to claim $2,500.
To continue on his hot streak on Monday to close out the tripleheader, Sanders soared to his third win in-a-row with the Texas Monday Series at Texas Motor Speedway. His $2,500 payday elevated his weekend earnings to $7,000.Back to News
