Rodney Sanders
Sanders competes in Deuces Wild at TMS Dirt Track
Fresh off of winning his sixth Summit USMTS National Championship crown, Rodney Sanders took on the USRA American Racer Modified Series (ARMS) finale on the first weekend in November. Unfortunately for the Lone Star State native, Sanders struggled throughout the weekend during the Deuces Wild event at the Texas Motor Speedway Dirt Track.
Sixty-five USRA Modifieds were entered at the 4/10-mile clay oval near Fort Worth for Friday's $2,000-to-win opener. Driving his familiar Stussy Construction/Paulson Rock Products No. 20 machine, Sanders suffered a DNF in his heat race and did not start his B-Main or the 20-lap feature. He was plagued with flat tires and fuel pump issues throughout the night.
On Saturday, Sanders hoped for a turnaround in a 63-car ARMS field. He finished third in his heat, starting him 16th in the 25-lap, $2,000-to-win A-Main. He ultimately suffered a DNF for the second consecutive night and registered a 21st-place result.
Sanders ran a limited ARMS schedule in 2025, but still finished 10th in the final point standings.
