Rodney Sanders continues season at Deer Creek Speedway
On Saturday, Rodney Sanders and his ARMI Contractors No. 20 Modified team competed in the season opener at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota. Sanders was strong early, but his evening ended in disappointment at the 3/8-mile clay oval.
A strong field of 26 USRA Modifieds necessitated three heat races, and Sanders turned in an impressive sixth-to-second run in the third heat of the evening. He rolled off from the 11th position to begin the 25-lap feature, but he had to settle for a 22nd-place result after a DNF.
