Top-10 finish for Sanders at Springfield
An impressive field of more than 70 Modifieds descended on Springfield (Missouri) Raceway over the weekend for Turkey Bowl XIX. In the quarter-mile oval's season-ender, Rodney Sanders secured his 64th top-10 finish of the year.
On Friday, Sanders drove his MB Customs No. 20 Modified to victory in his first heat race and finished sixth in his second. The next day, he won his B-Main from the pole, putting him 13th on the grid to begin the 30-lap, $6,000-to-win feature.
He climbed three positions in the main event to finish 10th.
